These are absolutely fantastic cars. They are based off the Studebaker lark, which is debately one of the best compacts from the 60s.
These are actually body-on-frame unlike the Chevy Nova and Ford Falcon competitors and they are SO MUCH BETTER.
The ride is absolutely fantastic, they handle way better than Falcon/Nova, you have a powerful V8, and can carry up to six people in a compact.
With the Wagonaire, you get all of that and you can carry a ton of stuff and more people!
These have been next to the top of wishlist for many years. I'd LOVE to have one. You have to watch out for rust around the sliding door though.

Here is another awesome Studebaker.
The 2-door Lark wagon. The Wagonaire was based of the 4-door version.

I've wanted one of these since I was 5 years old-had a Matchbox of one. I grew up in a small town that had more Studes per capita than anywheres. (3 brothers owned a dealership-when it closed they and various kids-nephews etc. all still had collections of them. One even had a junkyard that had many many.) And yet I never seen one in real life. On my short list of cars I'd give a kidney for.
Heres one that gave me wet dreams. Paxton AND 4 speed!
